Account Deletion Policy

Effective 2 November 2026 Version 2026-11-02 Applies to the Hypermilers Android app

You can delete your Hypermilers account at any time, for any reason, without contacting support. This page explains both deletion routes, exactly what is removed, what limited information we must keep, and how long each step takes.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed by Google Play. Cancel in the Play Store first, following the Subscription & Refund Policy, or you may continue to be charged.

1. Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Hypermilers and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open the Profile area from the navigation drawer.
  3. Choose Delete account.
  4. Confirm the warning. The app signs you out immediately and access to the account is disabled.

Deletion happens on our servers, not only on your phone. Uninstalling the app or clearing app data does not delete your account; use the steps above or the email route below.

2. Delete without the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, send an email to [email protected] with the subject Account deletion request. Include:

Send the request from the registered address where possible. If you cannot, we may ask for information needed to confirm that the account belongs to you, so that nobody can delete someone else's data. We never ask for your password.

3. What is deleted

Deleting your account removes or disables access to:

4. What is retained and why

When you delete your account, access is disabled immediately. A small amount of information must still be kept for legal, accounting and dispute-resolution reasons:

Proof of consent
The version of the terms and privacy policy you accepted, and when you accepted it. We keep this record to demonstrate that consent was given.
Subscription and transaction records
Plan, store status, product identifiers, purchase token, expiry dates and the subscription event audit trail. Kept for the period required by accounting and tax law, and to resolve billing disputes or refund requests.
Deletion tombstone
A record that the account was deleted, so that the account cannot be reactivated or reused by someone else and so that stale sessions are refused.
Records already retained in backups
Encrypted backups are rotated on a short schedule. A backup containing your data is overwritten as the rotation completes, and is never restored selectively.

Retained records are not used for any commercial purpose, are not sold, and are not used to advertise to you.

5. How long it takes

If you believe your account was not deleted, email [email protected] and we will investigate; you can also read about your rights in the Privacy Policy.

6. Delete some data without deleting the account

You do not need to delete your whole account to remove specific records:
